AVM Group is a commercial construction company located in Cleveland, OH that specializes in Interior Systems, Controlled Environments, Radiation Shielding and Mechanical Systems.

Primary Job Function

As a Project Superintendent at AVM Group, you will provide overall on-site administrative and technical management on various construction project sites nationwide.

Please note that this position involves frequent, long-term travel.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Work with AVM installers with tools on to build projects to design specifications.
  • Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. This includes interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, etc.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling, engineering, material control, provision of day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, and all other duties as required.
  • Supervise trade employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
  • May authorize and/or approve all project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc.
  • Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
  • Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
  • Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations, notify project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required.
  • Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

This role requires the following skills experience:

  • Minimum of eight years construction and/or craft supervision experience in similar commercial facility construction.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, cost control schedules and safety required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential.

Additional Role Information

This position is normally one of independent project supervision on small to medium size projects. May direct one major segment of a large, extensive project.

Compensation

  • Starting salary of $75,000 per year.
