POSITION TITLE: Tribal Security Officer

DEPARTMENT: Tribal Enforcement

REPORTS TO: Tribal Enforcement Sergeant

SUPERVISES: N/A

SCHEDULE: Full-Time (Flexible mab be assigned to any shift)

SALARY: $16.50 hourly

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Tribal Enforcement Security Director, protects the property of Mooretown Rancheria Emergency Services Building (E.O.S.) as well as the Log Cabin.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. The Tribal Security Officer is responsible for checking all of the vehicles around the E.O.S. building, and Log Cabin both of which are located on Mooretown Rancheria.

2. Responsible for making sure the vehicles located at or around the E.O.S. building & Log Cabin are locked, and not vandalized.

3. Must notify the Mooretown Tribal Enforcement Security Officer on duty if you witness a potential trespasser and / or breaking into the vehicles on the premises.

4. Does not carry firearms.

5. The Tribal Security Officer will first contact Tribal Enforcement Security Officer on duty to report any suspicious activity.

6. Must be detailed orientated, able to complete “Duty Logs” thoroughly for every shift, and maintain confidentiality of records and information.

7. To obey all ordinances, regulations, guidelines, and policies which the Tribal Enforcement Security Director or the Tribal Council shall adopt.

8. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must be 18 years of age or older and reside within the State of California.

2. Must possess and maintain a Security Guard Card. Experience in property security, law enforcement, or related field.

3. Ability to establish and maintain effective personal relations with staff and tribal members.

4. Must pass a pre-employment drug test, background investigation, and live scan/finger printing.

5. Preference will be given to Native Americans (25 USC Sec. 472A)
