Veterinary Receptionist

ZimmVet is hiring Front Desk Customer Service Representatives (CSR). We are a AAHA-accredited, positive, progressive veterinary clinic located in Zimmerman, MN. ZimmVet was named the 2021 National American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) veterinary practice of the year. Easy reverse commute just north of the twin cities.

Full time and part time hours available. We offer flexible scheduling, with a rotating Saturday schedule, and 5 or 10 hour shifts. Any experience level is considered.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and pets by name
• Answer phones promptly and professionally using a multi-line phone system
• Provide phone shoppers with descriptions of services first, price last
• Take and deliver messages promptly to appropriate staff
• Note in medical records the details discussed during client conversations including the date, time, key points of the discussion and any action required
• Ensure the reception area and exam rooms are clean and odor free
• Fill and dispense prescriptions for patients.
• Confirm medical records are accurate and complete, request transcripts from other hospitals, and transfer transcripts to other hospitals as needed.
• Receive payment for services, providing exact change when taking cash payments are received.
• Print and record end-of-day balances, ensuring they are accurate.
• Update reminders for clients as needed.
• Admit/Discharge patients for in-hospital stays for procedures such as surgery, dental, or others as recommended by hospital staff.
• Provide client education on topics such as nutrition, preventatives, and other common questions.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
