General Summary:

The vCIO responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with them, and being a voice for them within our company. In this role, you will serve as the communications link between the customers and our operations team to improve and develop technology solutions for our clients.

You will be able to identify needs and requirements to promote our solution set. This is a contact sport and requires you to be on the phone talking with our clients. This is done by establishing and maintaining customer business-level strategic relationships, then utilizing and building on these relationships to better understand customers’ business goals and objectives. The vCIO is responsible for establishing technology budgeting and strategic roadmaps for Customers that both reduce business risk and facilitate technology improvements across the business.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Operations Director and indirectly to the Integrator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular Quarterly Navigator Calls with Customers
  • Maintain frequent remote unique touches with Customers via email and our Connection Call process
  • Maintain, plan and develop a strategic roadmap profile for each Customer
  • Complete vCIO alignment reviews, based on Technology Alignment Reviews
  • Maintain clear and precise business and alignment objectives for each Customer
  • Maintain Customers’ technology budgets
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the GlobalMac IT standards library
  • Design and present technology proposals to your clients
  • Provide professional services with a backlog of project work
  • Design and maintain process and procedural documentation of Company tools and applications
  • Provide accurate reports and metrics to GlobalMac IT management using preferred applications for reporting
  • Maintain up to date version knowledge and certification (where applicable) of GlobalMac IT tools and applications
  • Proactively plan, oversee, coordinate, track and run assigned project tasks
  • Provide regular project reviews and reporting to the Operations Director as required
  • Maintain high positive Customer and user satisfaction and relationships
  • Keep abreast of the development of relevant IT and telecommunication systems, hardware and software applications within the industry
  • Implement, participate and promote Quality Assurance (QA) objectives, processes and procedures of GlobalMac IT
  • Conduct thorough checking and self-checking of information and documentation
  • Maintain project files and keep documentation in order for clientele and Strategic Roadmaps
  • Assist in the training, mentoring and development of staff
  • Perform general office duties as required
  • Connect with, manage and advise Customers, other consultants, and contractors and attend meetings as required
  • Perform other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager
  • Adopt Director learning and improvement processes in all aspects of the position.
  • Implement, participate and promote Company Policies and Procedures

Expected Outcomes:

  • Maintain and achieve Quarterly Navigator call quota for completing/scheduling calls with clients for the quarter.
  • Complete Connection Calls per week to maintain touch base with clients and build the relationship
  • Complete vCIO Reviews as assigned for each Quarterly Navigator call booked
  • Budget and strategic Customer planning for 1-3 years in advance
