Warehouse Associate Job Description

Hello! We're Polygon, a fast-growing, Dallas-based co-warehousing company.

We provide flexible warehouses and workspaces for entrepreneurs and small businesses who need space to make, store, and ship their goods.

We believe everyone should have a space to grow and feel at home.

We are looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our team and support our Atlanta location.

Overview

As Warehouse Associate at Polygon, you’ll be the operational backbone of our Atlanta location, keeping the warehouse organized, handling shipping and receiving, and helping our members keep their businesses moving.

This is a hands-on, on-site operations role reporting to the Atlanta Location Manager.

The day-to-day for this role includes: handling shipping and receiving, helping members with deliveries and questions as they come up, keeping truck and delivery traffic flowing, moving member trash and recycling out to the exterior dumpsters, coordinating with contractors and vendors on upkeep and preventative maintenance, and keeping the warehouse organized and running.

If you’re looking for a traditional warehouse job where someone tells you what to do every minute, this role is NOT for you.

If you take pride in keeping things running, you spot the small stuff before it becomes a problem, and you genuinely enjoy helping people, this may be the role for you.

Your success will keep our members happy, our property running smoothly, and the Atlanta location thriving. It can also lead to growth opportunities within our company.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound packages and freight, route them to the right members, and help with outbound freight as needed
  • Help members with deliveries, building access, and general questions
  • Keep truck and delivery traffic flowing
  • Be the contact for drivers, carriers, and members coordinating freight
  • Own repairs and preventative maintenance, working with contractors, vendors, and the corporate team (doors, locks, lights, dock equipment, fixtures, patching, painting)
  • Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the building daily and move everything to the dumpsters
  • Keep common areas, docks, and warehouse space clean, organized, and stocked with supplies and equipment
  • Be a welcoming, professional presence for members and visitors
  • Support the Location Manager with tours or member assistance when needed

Requirements

  • Reliable, with strong follow-through
  • A "see it, fix it" mindset where you spot trash, a flickering light, or a misplaced pallet and handle it without being asked
  • Warm and welcoming with people
  • Comfortable as the face of the brand for members, drivers, and visitors
  • Comfortable on your feet and working with your hands all day, able to lift 50+ lbs
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (for moving vehicles and equipment around the property)
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and able to coordinate with members, drivers, and the corporate team
  • Proactive, adaptable, and a self-starter who takes ownership of the space without being micromanaged
  • Bonus points if you have experience with pallet jacks, pallet stackers, shipping/receiving, or property maintenance
  • Double bonus points if you've worked around entrepreneurs or come from a role where being warm, helpful, and proactive with customers was central to the job
