We are seeking an experienced Cycle Count Specialist to work under the direction of the Inventory Control Coordinator. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through systematic cycle counting, investigation of discrepancies, and adherence to inventory control procedures.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform daily, weekly, and periodic cycle counts in accordance with the established cycle count schedule.
- Accurately count, verify, and reconcile inventory quantities using handheld scanners, inventory management systems, and count sheets.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, research root causes, and report findings to Inventory Control, Warehouse Management, or supervision.
- Perform recounts and spot cycle counts as required when variances, adjustments, or audit findings occur.
- Ensure inventory locations, labels, and identification are accurate and properly maintained.
- Evaluate inventory condition and coordinate repackaging, relabeling, or segregation of nonconforming or damaged material.
- Verify returned material, damaged packaging, and discrepant items prior to returning inventory to stock.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for manufactured parts, purchased parts, transferred parts, and containers.
- Participate in internal inventory audits, including preparation, counting support, and documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment (including Jitney or forklift, if certified) to safely access and count inventory.
- Communicate inventory issues, shortages, or accuracy concerns to applicable departments in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse and safety standards.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, safety rules, and environmental requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision or management.
Qualifications
· 2+ years inventory control experience in manufacturing or distribution.
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
· Solid knowledge of inventory control methods.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills; strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis ability.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
