Warehouse Utility & Driver - DWF Nashville

Full-time and part-time positions available. Monday, Wednesday, Fridays required.

Highlights:

  • Early routes - start early as 4/5 a.m. and end early (1 p.m.)
  • Sunday through Thursday schedule
  • Opportunities for advancement!

Responsibilities:

Delivery

  • Ensures outstanding customer service.
  • Delivers the correct product to customers safely.
  • Observes all traffic regulations.
  • Observes customer directed delivery instructions regarding parking, entrances, exits, etc.
  • Prevents distracted driving (i.e. no cell phone use while driving, etc.).
  • Provides feedback on the most efficient delivery routes.
  • Collects proof of delivery signatures.
  • Collects money on CODs.
  • Returns signed proof of delivery signatures and cash collections to bookkeeper, daily.
  • Notifies manager of delivery errors (i.e. short ships, damaged product, etc.), immediately.
  • Directs customer service issues to manager.
  • Maintains cleanliness of company vehicles.
  • Reports on the status of vehicle maintenance.

Warehouse Utility

  • Packs customer orders.
  • Cleans coolers.
  • Makes and/or organizes shipping boxes.
  • Disposes old product.
  • Sweeps floors.
  • Prepares water buckets.
  • Organizes warehouse supplies.
  • Assists with physical inventory counts.

Team

  • Forms strong working relationships within various teams.
  • Treats each individual with respect.
  • Acts as an ambassador for DWF Wholesale Florists.
  • Interacts with customers and team members in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee, customer and vendor information 100% of the time.
  • Meets with supervisor on a weekly basis to review projects and outcomes.
  • Brings issues and solutions to supervisor within 24 hours.

  • Constant to frequent standing and/or walking.
  • Frequent need of lifting or carrying (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Frequent periods of working inside a cooler with temperature ranging between 32 and 45 degrees.
  • Extended hours during busy season.
