Role Description
The Wedding & Events Sales Manager will provide direct management for all wedding and group events at Walden’s Hill Country location. This role will be the primary contact for wedding and event inquiries, tours, sales, contract completion and event coordination. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a business development mentality who is passionate about building relationships, driving direct sales, and contributing to the long-term success of our property. This is a creative and dynamic role that requires a passion for event planning, along with a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Solicit new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, attending industry events, and establishing connections with wedding planners, corporate event organizers, and other relevant partners.
- Lead Management: Manage and engage all inbound wedding and group event sales inquiries ensuring prompt responsiveness to convert inquiries to tours.
- Property Tours: Schedule, coordinate and conduct all on site tours with prospective clients, showcasing Walden’s unique offering as a venue
- Negotiate and Close Sales: Close group bookings, negotiate and secure signed contracts, and facilitate payments
- Event Planning: Create event resumes that includes the event run of show, vendor contact information, schedules, special requests, timelines. Ensure all correspondence with booked and prospective clients is timely, accurate, and aligned with company policy.
- Event Management: Coordinate and oversee or assign oversight of all activities during entire event day, including setup, vendor arrivals, ceremony, reception and teardown
- Reporting and Analysis: Manage CRM database and utilize to analyze sales, identify trends and adjust strategies to optimize lead conversion
- Marketing and Promotion: Identify and create marketing resources as needed and ensure all promotional materials
- Strategic Planning: Develop a comprehensive strategy to drive more event bookings, maximize conversions and secure Walden as a mainstay venue in the industry. Prepare and participate in regular weekly, monthly and quarterly staff meetings with leadership team.
Requirements:
- Location: Must be willing to work full time on site (1388 Gipson Road Johnson City, TX 78636)
- Schedule: Extended hours including nights and weekends

Qualifications
The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multi-task, make decisions and prioritize in a fast paced environment, under pressure. A positive personality, excellent oral and written communication skills are required. This position requires a flexible schedule, including late hours on weekends and the need to assist with regular heavy lifting.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 3 years in a Sales position
- Ability to plan, direct, supervise, monitor and review all sales functions
- Ability to understand the sales process from beginning to end and ensure all sales administrative processes are established
- Possess a friendly and warm personality able to win customers and build trust quickly
- Ability to think critically and continually find ways to improve and evolve
- Experience managing a CRM

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
