Position Title: Wisconsin Rapids Elementary Director

Hours: Monday-Friday, weekends as requested, 40+ hours. School year hours support afterschool programming and open until 6:30. Summer hours support 10-week summer program and open until 5:30.

Classification: Non - Exempt, Hourly

Salary: Based on experience and qualifications

Reports to: Operations Director

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Operations Director, the Wisconsin Rapids Elementary Director is responsible for the Wisconsin Rapids Center’s day to day operations with a primary concern for supervision and training of staff, programmatic and outcome management, membership recruitment and retention, and overseeing the upkeep of the facility. The Wisconsin Rapids Elementary Director will directly oversee the Elementary Services in Wisconsin Rapids. This position will also serve as a point of contact for Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools and all Private schools in the area.

  • 60% Site Management
  • Maintain a healthy and safe environment, by ensuring facilities, supplies and equipment are maintained
  • Proactively recruit, hire, train, and develop applicants for Club positions at all school-based locations
  • Assist in all membership recruitment and retention efforts to achieve organizational goals
  • Develop relationships with Club members, parents, site contacts and community members
  • Manage facility finances, controlling expenditures against the budget
  • Assist in the implementation and delivery of operations, programs, services, and activities that facilitate achievement of Youth Development Outcomes
  • Ensure staff are scheduled for all shifts
  • Plan and implement a staff development and training program
  • Conduct monthly safety drills
  • 20% Program Development and Management
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate Center programs
  • Oversee grant-required program activities in accordance with established standards and goals
  • Ensure Center programs and activities have a clear vision and have widely understood short-term and long-term plans that align with agency goals and objectives and support the overall mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs.
  • Evaluate programs on a continual basis and ensure programs/activities are in keeping with gender and cultural diversity
  • 15% Outcome Management
  • Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance, and participation
  • Maintain knowledge member tracking software
  • Complete Personal Learning Plans when needed (site specific)
  • 5% Additional Duties
  • Volunteer and Attend Club events as assigned
  • May be required to drive Club van periodically
  • All other duties as requested

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ work experience in a management role, supervising 10+ employees
  • Knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club mission, objectives, policies, programs and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and coordinate operations, in personnel supervision; recruitment, retention and training of staff; facilities management; and budget management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-started, to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment, tact, and discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively under multiple deadline pressure
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of partners
  • Knowledge of PC and/or Mac computers and software including Adobe and MS Office; ability to learn new programs as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience in non-profit management/supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
