Established commercial furniture and millwork company is searching for an experienced Shop Foreman to lead the team. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the commercial millwork or cabinetry industry, and be familiar with a standard array of woodworking machinery.

As a Shop Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our shop, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow. This is a vital role in our organization, and we are looking for someone who can effectively manage projects and lead a team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the shop
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Assign tasks to shop personnel and provide guidance as needed
  • Monitor progress and quality of work to ensure adherence to project specifications
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify any safety hazards or maintenance needs
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering and organizing materials
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance
  • Train new employees on shop procedures and safety protocols
  • Approve your department’s time cards for bi-weekly payroll

Qualifications and Skills

  • 10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in the cabinetry, millwork, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Shop Supervisor/Foreman or similar role
  • Proficient in reading schematics and shop drawings
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
