Buck Creek Community Church is looking for a part-time Worship & Production Leader who will take ownership of the Sunday gathering and help build a culture of joyful, gospel-centered worship in our church.

This person will recruit, train, and lead volunteers while ensuring our Sunday gatherings are prepared, excellent, and spiritually meaningful.

Position Scope & Time Commitment

This role can take one of two forms depending on the candidate’s gifts and availability.

Option 1 — Worship Leader (5–10 hours/week)

For candidates primarily gifted in musical leadership.

Responsibilities focus on:

Planning and leading worship for Sunday services
Leading while playing guitar or keys
Working with the Lead Pastor to build weekly worship sets and creative elements
Recruiting, scheduling, and rehearsing musicians
Leading occasional team rehearsals
Helping cultivate a church culture that celebrates worship

Option 2 — Worship & Production Leader (up to 20 hours/week)

For candidates who are also able to oversee the church’s production and media systems.

In addition to the responsibilities above, this role would also:

Oversee the Sunday production booth (sound, livestream, ProPresenter, lighting)
Recruit and train production volunteers
Ensure slides, audio, livestream, and presentation elements are prepared
Maintain excellence in sound, lighting, streaming, and presentation
Help manage media, podcast uploads, and digital content

Final hours and compensation will be determined based on the scope of the role and the candidate’s experience.

Primary Responsibilities1. Lead and Own the Sunday Gathering

Plan and lead worship for Sunday services
Lead worship while playing guitar or keys
Work with the Lead Pastor to build weekly worship sets and creative elements
Recruit, schedule, and train worship and production volunteers
Ensure all roles are filled and prepared in advance
Lead weekly planning or team huddle
Prepare slides, music, and production elements
Personally prepare musically and spiritually for leading

2. Build a Healthy Worship Culture

Develop and care for worship and production volunteers
Encourage spiritual growth and team community
Lead team prayer and discipleship rhythms
Host at least two rehearsals (monthly)
Help cultivate a church culture that celebrates worship
Participate in churchwide events (VBS, outreach events, etc.)
Participate in monthly coaching with Ada Bible Church's worship leadership

3. Production, Media & Communication

(Primarily for the 20-hour role)

Oversee service technology (audio, cameras, lighting, streaming, ProPresenter, etc.)
Work with partners related to sound, lighting, and stage design
Upload weekly sermon audio to podcast
Help create social media content (short promo videos, etc.)
Help develop a simple social media strategy for the ministry
