JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking aRadiology Technologist to join the Sol Radiology team. You will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues. They will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment. The X-ray Technologist prepares patients for X-ray examinations, explains procedures, and positions them correctly to obtain the necessary images. They ensure patient safety by following radiation protection protocols and using shielding devices as required. The X-ray Technologist may also administer contrast materials for certain procedures. They process and analyze the images, ensuring they meet quality standards, and maintain accurate records. Additionally, they may assist with procedures such as fluoroscopy and perform equipment maintenance. Excellent technical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and a caring attitude are essential for success in this role. Staying updated with advancements in radiologic technology is also important for providing optimal patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Knowledge of radiology equipment operation, safety protocols, and image acquisition techniques
· Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
· 1-2 years of experience preferred.
· CA State Licenses in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
· ARRT Certification
· BLS certification issued by AHA.
· Must maintain all required continuing education credits and licensure during employment.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
SKILLS
· Review and analyze your captured images to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards.
· Positioning patients correctly and adjusting equipment settings accordingly.
· Daily QC maintenance and cleaning of the x-ray equipment.
· Ensure the operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance; instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; and maintaining equipment inventories.
· Able to provide excellent patient care.
· A customer service pro.
· Able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Someone who can foster teamwork and have interpersonal awareness and initiative.
· Focused on delivering a high level of quality in your work.
· Other duties as assigned.
