Chelsea Collaborative, Inc.
Youth Employment and Education Program Manager

Overview: The mission of the Chelsea Collaborative is to empower Chelsea residents to enhance the social and economic health of the community and its people; and to hold institutional decision makers accountable to the community. We implement a collection of community initiatives – developed and led by residents – to address persistent issues of inequity, which negatively impact the well-being of Chelsea residents, particularly those most vulnerable among us such as children, youth, immigrants, and refugees. Our initiatives meet the basic needs of Chelsea residents, foster leadership and citizenship among newcomers, develop the next generation of leaders, respond effectively to crises, and create systemic change that increases equity and justice for years to come.

The Chelsea Collaborative has a 30+ year history of building relationships with historically marginalized groups, engaging them civically through outreach and community education, and mobilizing them to have their voices heard and effect systemic change. We are a trusted pillar of
Chelsea’s immigrant and Latinx communities and we have systems and structures in place to support our community to identify and address the social and economic justice issues impacting their lives.
The importance of civic engagement and participation in decision-making processes is a cornerstone of our mission and day-to-day work in Chelsea. It is highlighted in everything we do throughout the year.
