The world of work is always changing. And as we’ve seen in the past year, sometimes it changes in very surprising ways.
At Indeed Interactive 2021, our theme is Hire Potential: Reimagine Recruiting in the New World of Work. We’re gathering thought leaders, CEOs and some very entertaining people who’ll explore current and future hiring challenges as, together, we reimagine recruiting in the new world of work.
We’re especially excited to welcome actor, writer and philanthropist Matthew McConaughey as our keynote speaker. We caught up with Matthew before the event to ask him a few questions about human potential, what he looks for in a hire and what lessons he learned from the past year.
Three questions for Matthew McConaughey
It’s a long way from Uvalde, Texas, where Matthew was born, to Hollywood. So having made that journey with all its ups and downs, we wanted to learn — what’s the biggest obstacle to people realizing their full potential?
Here’s what he told us:
Matthew has played many roles in his career, from lawyer to astronaut, but he is also an employer. We wanted to know what tips for finding talent he had for the rest of us and asked, “What qualities do you look for when you’re hiring somebody?”
Finally, there’s no doubt that the last year has been a challenging time for all of us. So we asked Matthew what his biggest lesson from the last twelve months has been. His answer was pretty inspiring!
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Matthew will be sharing many more insights from his life and career on June 16. We can’t wait to hear what he has to say.
