Indeed’s Vendor Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct defines the basic requirements placed on Indeed’s vendors, suppliers, service providers and third-party intermediaries regarding their responsibilities.
1. Legal and Regulatory Compliance
Vendor shall comply with all applicable laws, governmental regulations, guidelines, and directives, both in letter and in spirit, in all the territories in which it operates, including, but not limited to, all applicable employment, equality, immigration, anti-corruption, anti-bribery, data protection, data privacy, advertising, and consumer protection laws. Vendor shall not collect, store, obtain, or enroll any person’s biometric information or biometric identifier in course of providing services to Indeed.
2. Diversity and No Harassment
Vendor should make a reasonable effort to use companies with diverse ownership in providing goods and services while performing work for Indeed. Vendor shall report any Tier 2 spend with diverse supplier, when applicable, to Indeed, using the Supplier Portal. Vendors are prohibited to discriminate against their employees on the basis of sex, race, color, national origin, pregnancy, citizenship, religion, genetic information, age, and other protected classes. Vendors should establish minimum wage, overtime pay eligibility, recordkeeping, and child labor standards affecting their full-time and part-time workers.
3. Product and Services Quality
Vendor shall only supply products and services of high quality that meet all applicable standards and best practices, including all Indeed internal quality standards, policies, specifications, procedures and contract requirements. Vendors shall follow Indeed Procurement procedures and shall not commence any work until vendor has received an Indeed issued Purchase Order.
4. Forced Labor, Child Labor
Vendor shall not use forced labor of any type, shall forbid any and all fraudulent or abusive recruitment practices, permit compliance audits performed by Indeed and any third-party companies, engaged by Indeed and report any unlawful activities. Vendor must not employ any persons under the legal age of employment as per ILO Convention 138.
5. Health and safety
Vendor shall provide the highest possible levels of safety, health and security for all parties involved in the production of its goods or provision of its services.
6. Environment
Vendor shall ensure compliance with all relevant environmental laws and regulations. Vendor is expected to strive for environmental sustainability, especially with regard to the emission of greenhouse gases, consumption of water and energy, management of waste and hazardous materials. Vendor shall prioritize suppliers who are committed to protecting the environment and who demonstrate sustainable sourcing practices.
7. Gifts and hospitality
Vendor must never, directly or through intermediaries, offer or promise any personal or improper advantage in order to obtain or retain a business advantage. Vendor may not provide or promise to provide any gift of ANY VALUE to any employee of Indeed. In addition, Vendor may not offer or accept any gifts or items of value while acting on Indeed’s behalf. Vendor shall not pay or accept bribes, arrange or accept kickbacks and shall not initiate any actions to violate, or cause its business partners to violate, any applicable anti-bribery laws. Gifts and hospitality given or received should be modest in value, appropriate, and compliant with the laws and regulations.
8. Conflict of Interest
Vendor shall avoid actual, or the appearance of, conflicts of interest while doing business with Indeed. Vendor must not deal directly with any Indeed employee whose spouse, domestic partner, other family member or relative holds a financial interest in the Vendor.
9. Protecting INDEED assets
The assets of Indeed shall not be misused. Assets of Indeed shall be used primarily and solely for the purpose of conducting the business for which they are designated. These include tangible assets such as equipment, systems, facilities, materials and resources, as well as intangible assets such as proprietary information, intellectual property, and relationships with Indeed business partners.
10. Vendor’s Supply Chain and Compliance
Vendor is expected to make reasonable efforts to promote among its supply chain with the principles of this code. Vendor shall maintain relevant documentation to demonstrate compliance with the principles of this code. For purposes of this code, Suppliers shall include any members of Indeed’s Publisher Program.
11. Reporting violations
Vendor shall notify Indeed regarding any known or suspected improper behavior relating to its dealings with Indeed, or any known or suspected improper behavior by Indeed employees, by email to Indeed’s Procurement Legal team [procurementlegal@indeed.com].
