AEROSPACE PAINTER I, II & III$22.00 - $40.00 Per Hour + Overtime Opportunities
Location: 3P Processing Wichita, Kansas

3P Processing is seeking motivated and skilled Aerospace Painters to join our growing team. Whether you are an experienced aerospace painter or looking to build your career in the aerospace industry, we offer opportunities for advancement through our Painter I, Painter II, and Painter III career progression program.
Our painters play a critical role in preparing, masking, priming, and applying aerospace coatings to aircraft components while ensuring the highest levels of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Career Path Opportunities
Painter I
Entry-level and developing painters who are learning aerospace paint processes, coating systems, masking techniques, and quality requirements.
Painter II
Skilled painters who can independently perform a wide variety of aerospace painting operations, interpret work instructions, and consistently produce quality results.
Painter III
Advanced painters with extensive aerospace coating experience who can perform complex paint applications, troubleshoot coating issues, and serve as technical resources within the department.
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, demonstrated skills, certifications, and ability level.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and mask aircraft components for paint application.
- Apply aerospace primers, topcoats, and specialty coatings.
- Mix coatings and materials according to engineering and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, routers, and technical documentation.
- Clean, maintain, and operate paint equipment and spray systems.
- Inspect painted surfaces to ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements.
- Properly handle paint-related materials and waste in accordance with safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support production schedules while maintaining exceptional workmanship standards.
- Contribute to a culture focused on quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace painting experience preferred.
- Experience with industrial coatings, automotive painting, military aircraft finishing, or related paint applications.
- Experience using HVLP spray equipment and paint systems.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and process instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to distinguish colors, shades, and coating variations.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Kansas Aviation Tax Credit Opportunity
Qualified employees may be eligible for the Kansas Aviation and Aerospace Tax Credit Program, which can provide up to $5,000 per year for up to five years for eligible aerospace employees working in Kansas.
Work Environment
This position works in an aerospace manufacturing environment where employees may be exposed to paint fumes, chemicals, dust, varying temperatures, and production-related noise. Safety is our top priority, and all required personal protective equipment is provided.
Applicants must be able to wear required PPE, including respirators, fresh-air hoods, Tyvek suits, gloves, and safety glasses, and must be able to pass a respirator physical.
