Full job description
Moore Control Systems, Inc. has provided state-of-the-art, reliable, and cost-effective design, engineering, and construction services since 1981. Project locations have ranged from the continental US, to Venezuela, Azerbaijan, and Argentina to name a few. We aim to provide specialized and quality services from simple mechanical design to turnkey fabrication and site construction for our customers.
We are looking for a mid level Panel Shop Technician to perform a variety of repetitive workstation or assembly operations to produce complete instrumentation and electrical products under the direction of the panel shop manager.
Essential Functions

· Complete required tasks under the direction and supervision of the panel shop manager.
· Electrically layout panel designs based on drawings.
· Read and interpret various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, panel layout drawings, and electrical schematics.
· Wire control panels.
· Install electrical raceway to connect control panels to end devices.
· Layout and mount control panel parts per panel layout drawings.
· Operate a variety of standard shop equipment needed to complete tasks.
· Perform assembly-type functions.
· Operate forklift as required.
· Assist with other fabrication or assembly tasks as required.
· Overtime may be required.
· Adhere to department and company policies, processes, and procedures.
Required Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience.
· Must have a minimum 2-5 years of electrical experience.
· Must have a valid TDLR apprentice license.
· Ability to read drawings and other project schematics.
Preferred Education and Experience
· Craft or Trade certification.
· 5+ years control panel wiring experience (preferred).
· PLC wiring experience (preferred).
· Proficient in both English and Spanish (bilingual).
