Part-time Embroidery Production Specialist

Abbode is looking for a detail-oriented, calm-under-pressure individual to join our team embroidering both in-store and at events, activations, and pop-ups across New York City. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves hands-on work, has a creative eye, and enjoys being part of high-energy environments.

Embroidery experience preferred but not required.

We are specifically seeking candidates with reliable weekend availability for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Independently operate embroidery machines in the Abbode store and at on-site events.
• Set up and manage your embroidery station, including threading, hooping, and troubleshooting
• Work quickly and accurately in high-volume environments
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team and fellow embroiderers to ensure customer orders are completed correctly and efficiently
• Transport and care for embroidery equipment and materials during events
• Ensure correct completion of orders under time pressure and quality control your work
• Support the fulfillment team at the Abbode store or office with embroidery, prepping, and organizing as needed

Requirements:

• No embroidery experience required — we’ll train you! (Experience with Brother or Melco machines is a plus)
• Comfortable working live events and interacting with customers
• Strong time management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings
• Creative mindset and attention to detail — we love working with people who have an eye for design and personalization
• Bonus: interest in embroidery, fashion, or hands-on making

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
