Assistant Coach, Supervisor (Current Employee) – Boston, MA – February 11, 2013
I've worked for the Veterans Benefits Administration now as a federal employee for a number of years. At first, I found the experience to be quite rewarding. I felt good about helping our nation's heroes obtain the benefits that they are owed. My job has been to obtain medical evidence to support claims for military related disabilities and illnesses. Once all evidence is obtained, I would adjudicate the claim. Now, as a supervisor, I prioritize and assign these roles to subordinate employees. This has been a challenging and rewarding career, thus far, as I have been able to help some people in great need. The ever growing backlog of claims, however, has increased demands to complete aging claims in recent years.
