Deli Worker (Former Employee) – Farmingdale, NY – January 26, 2013
On a daily basis we served over 900 students for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Constantly busy. Hands on food preparation which I did not get experience from years ago at a supermarket deli. My bosses were rough and tough but if you did your job right there was never a problem. Safety and proper food handling were top issues in our kitchen.
I enjoyed working with a crew of some creative and fun loving people.
There really wasn't a hard part to my job because if you stayed focused it got done.
I enjoyed the (my) students ~ each and everyone of them are wonderful kids
if you enjoy cooking there is so much to be learned from working in a kitchen
as a part timer i did not get breaks or benefits
