Reviews about Pay & Benefits for Department Manager in Lowe's
Good company, poorly managed
Department Manager (Former Employee) – Scranton, PA – July 2, 2019
Lowes is a great co. They have good benefits but you work all kinds of hours and almost every weekend. There expectations of what can be done in an 8 hour shift is unrealistic. Management has a lot to do with that. Managers do not help you at all they say they don't want to here excuses (busy with customers is not an excuse its a reason) Not all Lowes are that way. I would not deter anyone from working for Lowes but be ready to here no excuses.
Department Manager (Former Employee) – Wichita Falls, TX – May 22, 2019
Lowes isn't in its self a bad place. I had bad management that gave me poor raises for years. I understand that this is a customer based job, but at some point, you need to have your employees back and not blame them for everything thing.
Great place to work. Had the freedom to succeed in every role I had.
Pro Department Manager (Current Employee) – Utah – May 9, 2019
Great place to work. All you have to do to succeed is show up and do your best. Wage is low however compared to other retailers it’s is very competitive. I was promoted 4 times in 4 years by just caring about my work ethic and other employees. I know people complain about their schedules however coming from being on call and working out of town, the 8hr schedule seems great to me. Benefits are expensive but good. 401k match is on the low end of major companies.
