Digital Print Operator (Former Employee) – Toledo, OH – April 5, 2019
I was Pre-press Technician - stripping negative flats for web press forms. Also provided bindery help. Pre-press was a skilled trade Job, I had for many years. The advancements in technology made it possible for a production machine to do this work. Was very sad, that this was a dying craft.
Digital Print Operator & Offset (Former Employee) – Middleburg, OH – April 14, 2017
great job, very nice people to work with and great boss. It's mostly fast paced a lot of hand work such as hand collating. And computer skills are a must. I made great friends over the years in a very relaxed environment. my main reason i left is because distance and no health insurance. This place is usually busy all the time no layoffs in the 6 years i worked there. I ran offset press Multi 1650 plus ran 2 digital presses as well as assisted in graphics. I quoted 80% of the work in the shop and assisted in helping bring new clients into the shop. Original owner that hired me was an offset guy and was a very nice guy as well as the new owner he is a great guy as well but is new to printing. we all worked together to make it our goals from previous owner. I do not regret working at all and had they paid me what i was worth for all the hats i wore and offered paid health insurance i would of stayed.
Great company to work for, Learn Skills that can help you down the road
No Health insurance, below average pay for what is expected
Digital Print Operator (Former Employee) – Lancaster, CA – August 17, 2018
Busy most days. Fast paced environment. Other workers were cool to work with. Family owned and operated. Management needs to find other ways to communicate with employees in a respectful manner not by humiliation or sarcasm in front of others or customers.
