Unreliable hours and coworkers
Store Clerk (Former Employee) – East Lansing, MI – August 7, 2018
A typical day included working the register, stocking, cleaning, etc. I enjoyed my coworkers, and during downtime it was very relaxed. Initially I enjoyed working there, but soon learned that there was no opportunity for raises or advancement. Employees who had been working there for years had never received a raise, and consistently earned minimum wage. Coworkers were unreliable, likely because they were burnt out, and called in or did no call no shows regularly. I had to work doubles when people didn't come in when my shift ended, and the manager and every coworker was conveniently out of town that night.
Perks were free Icees and roller grill food.
Unreliable coworkers, minimum wage
