Hillsborough County PUD is an "ok" place to work. It provides a guaranteed paycheck every two weeks but other than that, it leaves a lot left to be desired. The compensation for providing "life sustaining" utilities and maintaining the image that the county portrays is very very poor. Entry level even for those with many years in the industry. The gap between management and field personnel for both salary and work load is very large and made known daily. The schedule is set, the overtime is heavily regulated, the micromanaging style of operation and "big brother" type of environment is annoying and makes the job less than enjoyable.
