Full job description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing dermatology practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dermatologic care to patients of all ages, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education for a wide range of skin conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat common and complex dermatologic conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, skin infections, and skin cancers
  • Perform dermatologic procedures including biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removals, and cosmetic treatments as permitted
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications when appropriate
  • Educate patients on skincare, treatment plans, prevention strategies, and follow-up care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Stay current on dermatology best practices, clinical guidelines, and emerging treatments
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Missouri
  • Dermatology experience strongly preferred; new graduates with strong dermatology interest may be considered
  • Ability to perform dermatologic procedures and interpret pathology results preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and clinical skills
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and medical documentation

  • Experience in medical, surgical, or cosmetic dermatology
  • Knowledge of dermatologic pharmacology and treatment modalities
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain patient satisfaction
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
