Toddler Teacher/Transition Teacher Position:

Starting Pay: $14/hr and up, based on experience
Class Size: 6 children
Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 7:45 AM-3:45 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a caring and patient Transition Room Teacher to guide children ages 18–24 months through a vital stage of early development. This role focuses on creating a warm, structured, and engaging environment that supports each child’s growth and prepares them for the next stage of their preschool journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop age-appropriate activities that promote language, motor, social, and spiritual development
  • Maintain consistent schedules that support routines (snack time, nap time, diapering, circle time, play-based learning)
  • Implement simple Bible lessons, songs, and prayer to foster spiritual growth
  • Encourage social skills such as sharing, gentle hands, communication, and emotional regulation
  • Create a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
  • Document daily activities and communicate with parents regarding their child’s routine, progress, and milestones
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to ensure a loving, Christ-centered classroom experience

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with toddlers or early childhood age groups
  • Ability to provide nurturing care while maintaining structure and safety
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • A genuine love for children and passion for helping them grow
  • Willingness to follow daily routines designed for toddler development

  • Incorporate Bible lessons, prayer, songs, and Christ-centered values into daily classroom activities
  • Maintain consistent classroom routines and schedules
  • Encourage independence, communication skills, and positive peer interactions
  • Keep the classroom clean, organized, and safe for all students
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and needs
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to provide a positive preschool experience

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with preschool or early childhood age groups
