Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic Machining Operations Center/Manufacturing Engineering Team. As part of this collaborative team, you will contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of special processes and small parts assembly for ultraprecision machined components. Your work will involve driving technology and automation into these operations.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Machining Operations Center (MOC) within the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) facility located in Orlando, FL. The MOC specializes in producing ultra‑precision machined components that are the foundation of infrared and electro‑optical targeting systems used primarily for defense applications.

  • Collaborate with other Manufacturing Engineers, Industrial Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Production stakeholders.
  • Create/modify detailed work instructions and other shop‑floor documentation to support production needs.
  • Create fixture and tooling concepts and drawings.
  • Provide shop‑floor support as necessary to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
  • Investigate and perform Root Cause analysis of component non‑conformances and ensure implementation of effective Corrective Action.
  • Monitor and report on quality, schedule, and cost performance of assigned projects/programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to learn and receive training, and when required, train others.

Why Join Us

This role is a unique opportunity to work on first‑production machined components along with long‑standing production components. Cutting‑edge software, machinery, and technology is utilized to produce components for our customers. This role is hands‑on and requires a desire to actively engage in shop‑floor daily production, troubleshooting, and improvement initiatives. The team members are a cohesive blend of experience focused on driving change and improvements into our processes.

We are committed to supporting your work‑life balance and overall well‑being, offering flexible scheduling options.
