Travel Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST/CBSPD) – Nights
Location: Columbus, OH 43210
Pay: $29–$32 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 11:00 PM–7:30 AM | 5x8-Hour Night Shifts
Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Travel Sterile Processing Technician | Columbus, OH | $32/hr
We are hiring an experienced Travel Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST/CBSPD) for a high-volume Level I Trauma Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for Sterile Processing professionals seeking a rewarding travel assignment with competitive pay and consistent night shifts.
A minimum of 3 years of recent Sterile Processing experience is required. This requirement cannot be waived.
Compensation & Schedule
- $29–$32 per hour
- Monday–Friday
- Night Shift: 11:00 PM–7:30 AM
- 5x8-Hour shifts
- Occasional scheduled holidays
- May float to nearby facilities as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of recent Sterile Processing experience (Required)
- Current CRCST (HSPA/IAHCSMM) or CBSPD certification
- Recent experience in a busy Acute Care or Level I Trauma Hospital
- Strong understanding of infection prevention and sterilization standards
Responsibilities
- Decontaminate surgical instruments and specialty equipment
- Assemble surgical instrument trays for multiple specialties
- Process trauma sets, loaner trays, and peel packs
- Perform Steam Sterilization and STERRAD sterilization
- Complete High-Level Disinfection (HLD)
- Reprocess flexible endoscopes
- Maintain sterile storage and instrument inventory
- Accurately document instrument processing using CensiTrac
- Work closely with Operating Room staff to ensure instrument availability
