Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and behavioral therapy services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will support individuals and families in overcoming challenges related to mental health, developmental disabilities, addiction, trauma, and behavioral issues. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a positive impact, utilizing evidence-based practices, and fostering a supportive environment for clients to achieve their goals. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify mental health and behavioral needs
  • Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), art therapy, and motivational interviewing
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on mental health, addiction recovery, conflict management, gender issues counseling, and crisis intervention
  • Collect and document medical records accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
  • Engage in case management activities to coordinate care with other healthcare providers and community resources
  • Implement behavior management strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Utilize crisis management techniques to support clients experiencing acute emotional or behavioral distress

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification as required by state law
  • Proven experience in home & community care settings or behavioral health environments
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance
  • Strong skills in patient care, patient assessment, and diagnostic evaluation
  • Experience with data collection for clinical documentation or research purposes
  • Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA), PTSD care, working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays, and special education practices
  • Ability to work effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills for individual / group counseling and conflict resolution

Education:
