About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Investment Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about investment management, trading operations, and client service, and who is actively pursuing professional growth within the financial services industry.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a high standard of accuracy, and is committed to developing technical expertise in trading and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor trade orders with precision and accuracy (zero-error standard)
  • Process money movement requests, including wires and internal transfers
  • Support advisors in portfolio rebalancing in advisor discretionary accounts
  • Handle rollovers, ACATS, and account transfers
  • Prepare, review, and process client forms and documentation
  • Research and help manage asset allocation models
  • Conduct client outreach and follow-ups as needed
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory and operational standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 1+ year of experience within financial services or a wealth management practice preferred
  • Current securities licensing preferred (e.g., Series 7/66 or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong interest in pursuing the CFA designation
  • Candidates on track to sit for CFA Level I are strongly preferred
  • Prior experience with Morningstar Research, LSEG, and Thomson Reuters is preferred.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

· Solid understanding of equity, fixed income and financial concepts

  • Understanding of economics and capital markets

  • Composed and decisive under pressure or when challenged
  • Driven, self-motivated, and intellectually inquisitive

  • Able to build constructive and effective relationships
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Excel and other Office applications
  • General understanding of technology including databases and other data analysis applications
  • Experience with trading platforms and rebalancing tools preferred
  • Understanding of portfolio construction and asset allocation
