Company Overview

The Janz Corporation is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business supporting the federal and military healthcare markets. Since 1999, Janz has provided medical equipment, supplies, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare solutions to government and military customers in the United States and internationally.

Janz works with medical manufacturers and industry partners to bring products and solutions into the federal healthcare marketplace, including the Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency, Department of Veterans Affairs, and other federal agencies.

Job Summary

The Business Development Coordinator works directly with senior leadership to support the growth of our business to business government healthcare business.

This role identifies new manufacturers, vendors, technologies, and strategic partners that could benefit from Janz access to the federal healthcare market. It also follows up with existing business development prospects, coordinates meetings, researches opportunities, and tracks the progress of vendors and products being added to Janz government contracts and sales channels.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys research, relationship building, organization, and turning opportunities into action. The person in this seat owns a list and drives it to a result.

This position reports to the President.

Duties

  • Vendor and partner development. Research and identify medical manufacturers, healthcare technology companies, pharmaceutical companies, and other potential strategic partners.
  • Prospect follow-up. Follow up with vendor prospects identified by senior management and maintain regular communication to keep opportunities moving forward.
  • Meeting coordination. Contact prospective partners, schedule introductory and follow-up meetings, prepare meeting materials, and document next steps.
  • Government market research. Research federal and military healthcare opportunities involving the Department of Defense, VA, DLA, DHA, and other government agencies.
  • Government contract support. Track the progress of manufacturers and products being considered for or added to Janz government contracts, schedules, and purchasing programs.
  • Opportunity tracking and CRM. Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects, partners, meetings, opportunities, action items, and next steps, and provide regular progress reports to leadership.
  • Trade shows and conferences. Research relevant healthcare, military, government contracting, and industry events, and recommend where Janz should exhibit, attend, sponsor, or schedule partner meetings.
  • Business development campaigns. Assist leadership with targeted outreach campaigns to manufacturers, strategic partners, government customers, and other organizations.
  • Proposal and presentation support. Assist in preparing company capability statements, presentations, partner materials, meeting briefs, spreadsheets, and other business development documents.
  • Market intelligence. Research companies, products, competitors, contract vehicles, government programs, and emerging healthcare technologies that may create new opportunities for Janz.
  • Executive support. Provide scheduling and administrative support related specifically to business development activity, including calendars, meetings, travel, conferences, and partner communications. This is approximately 20 percent of the role.
  • Project follow-through. Track deadlines, commitments, documentation, and action items so opportunities do not stall after meetings or initial introductions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities at once without losing track of them.
  • Comfortable communicating professionally with senior executives, manufacturers, vendors, government customers, and business partners.
  • Strong research skills and genuine interest in learning the federal healthcare marketplace.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, and with CRM or business tracking systems.
  • Ability to prepare concise reports and communicate the status of business development opportunities to leadership.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with limited direct supervision.
  • Ability to handle confidential and commercially sensitive information professionally.

Preferred

  • Experience with government contracting, healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, durable medical equipment, or federal sales.
  • Familiarity with federal contract vehicles, GSA schedules, or Defense Logistics Agency programs.
  • Experience maintaining a pipeline in a CRM system.

Experience and Education

  • Two or more years of experience in business development, sales support, account management, executive support, marketing, or a related professional role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor degree preferred.
