Responsibilities

• Greet guests with enthusiasm and provide a welcoming atmosphere upon arrival
• Manage restaurant reservations using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow
• Coordinate guest seating efficiently while maintaining awareness of wait times and table availability
• Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and general questions
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate effectively with guests and team members
• Support guest relations by addressing special requests or concerns promptly and courteously
• Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host station area
• Assist in managing restaurant flow during busy periods to enhance guest satisfaction

Experience

• Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
• Strong background in food service, customer service, or hospitality roles demonstrating excellent guest relations skills
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and etiquette, ensuring clear and friendly interactions
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist management, and POS transactions
• Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations to support seamless service delivery
