Position Overview:

We are looking for an Interior Designer to serve as the client-facing lead for our remodeling projects from initial contact through construction start. In this role, you will guide clients through the design and pre-construction process, developing project concepts, budgets, drawings, and material selections while helping them make informed decisions along the way. While you will own the client relationship, you will do so as part of a larger team, with ongoing support and collaboration from production, design, and administrative staff at every stage. The right candidate is comfortable in front of clients, confident in their design expertise, and organized enough to manage multiple active projects simultaneously.

What You'll Do:

· Lead discussions with potential clients via Zoom and/or over the phone to evaluate fit.

· Lead in-home design consultations, discussing client design preferences, functional needs, and comfortable investment range.

· Advise clients regarding layout, fixture, and material possibilities and their associated costs.

· Develop ballpark estimates with support from Studio Manager and lead ballpark presentations with clients.

· Flag potential areas where mechanical or structural components may require modification, noting items to be verified on site.

· Collaborate with the Studio Manager to create mood boards, material boards, layouts, and renderings for conceptual design presentations.

· Coordinate and schedule selection appointments with clients, vendors, and showrooms.

· Document all client selections accurately in Buildertrend, keeping records aligned with project timelines and budgets.

· Assist with the creation of permit drawings and work orders using Chief Architect.

· Attend/lead (depending on project scope) work order and preconstruction meetings with clients and the build team.

· Support the Studio Assistant when design modifications or new selections are needed during construction.

· Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and showroom representatives.

· Stay current on industry trends, new products, and best practices in interior design and remodeling.

· Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional, and timely manner, including meeting notes, follow-ups, and key documents.

· Keep project records current and accurate in Buildertrend and OneDrive across all active projects.

· Support the Studio Assistant in organizing project reveal parties, photo shoots, and other client-facing or promotional events.

· Assist with social media by gathering project photos and details, drafting captions, and coordinating posts with the Studio Assistant.

What You Bring:

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

· 5+ years of experience in interior design, selections coordination, or residential remodeling.

· A strong design eye and solid working knowledge of materials, finishes, and furnishings.

· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without dropping details.

· A positive, collaborative attitude and strong communication and client service skills.

· Proficiency in Chief Architect or other design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Experience working in Buildertrend or equivalent construction management software

What We Offer:

· Competitive salary with potential for performance-based incentives

· Health, dental, and vision insurance

· Paid time off and holidays

· 401(K) with employer matching

· Life insurance

· Referral program

· Professional development and training opportunities

· Collaborative work environment with a respected design-build team

Schedule:

· Monday through Friday, in-person

Occasional evenings and weekends, depending on client availability
