Environment:
Non-climate controlled, can get very hot (not air-conditioned).
Must haves:
6-8 months recent machinery, band saws, automatic welding machines, and mechanical background.
Ability to use and understand tape measures. Use of Gauges for quality checks
3–6 month forklift experience

Responsibilities:
Move loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard.
Assemble pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintain organized work supplies.
Follow safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe.
Operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA guidelines and Ferguson procedures.
Set up and maintain machines for pipe fabrication.
Measure, record, and add random pipe lengths accurately.
Measure and cut pipe using band saws or torches.
Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines.
Inspect and maintain forklift equipment.
Team player, willingness to learn. Open communication, takes initiative, follows direction.
Qualifications:
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Strong math skills for calculating product quantities.
Knowledge of safe work practices in the pipe yard.
Experience with machinery for cutting and threading pipe (training provided).
Results-focused in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of reading a tape measure accurately.
Good computer skills for automated machinery.
6-8 months recent experience with machinery such as pipe threaders, band saws, roll groove machines, plasma cutting, automatic welding machines, and pneumatic banders.
Ability to sort/shift pipe ranging from ½” to 10”.
Preferred experience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication (6-8 months).

Additional Considerations:
Candidates with backgrounds in auto mechanics, machinery maintenance, automotive lines, diesel, or farm equipment are encouraged to apply.
Comments for Suppliers: Monday-Friday schedule with occasional Saturday
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, some overtime may be required
30 minute daily unpaid lunch

Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
