Duties

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of guest service, cleanliness, and safety are maintained at all times
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events including banquets, catering functions, private parties, and corporate gatherings with precision and professionalism
  • Develop event marketing strategies to attract new clients and promote upcoming events through various channels
  • Negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining excellent relationships
  • Upsell menu items, beverages, and event packages to maximize revenue opportunities during events and regular service hours
  • Manage budgets for events and restaurant operations, ensuring cost control without compromising quality or service standards
  • Lead a team of staff members by providing training, motivation, and performance feedback to foster a positive work environment
  • Coordinate with catering teams, hotel staff (if applicable), and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution from setup to breakdown
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and resolving any issues efficiently
  • Implement effective marketing initiatives for events to increase visibility and attract diverse clientele
  • Maintain detailed records of contracts, bookings, inventory levels, and financial transactions related to events

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management combined with banquet or event management experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or dedicated event venues
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build mutually beneficial relationships with clients and vendors
  • Candidate can earn commission on top of annual pay.
  • Excellent marketing acumen with experience in event marketing strategies that drive attendance and revenue growth
  • Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to enhance guest experiences while increasing profitability
  • Skilled in event planning from initial concept through execution, including catering arrangements and logistics coordination
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence
  • Effective time management skills to juggle multiple events simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency in budgeting, contracts management, and financial oversight for events and restaurant operations
  • Strong communication skills coupled with organizational abilities that ensure smooth team collaboration
  • Prior banquet or catering experience is highly desirable; hotel or hospitality background is advantageous
  • Knowledge of fundraising activities related to community or charity events is a plus.
