Position Summary

The Cashier is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions at the checkout. This role includes greeting customers, handling payments, maintaining a clean and organized front end, and supporting store operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide helpful, friendly service
• Operate cash register, scanner, and point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Accurately handle cash, credit, debit, and EBT transactions
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Assist with bagging groceries and helping customers to their vehicles when needed
• Answer customer questions and direct them to appropriate departments
• Restock impulse and front-end merchandise
• Follow all store policies, safety procedures, and loss prevention guidelines
• Support store team with additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous cash handling or customer service experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
