Position Overview

The Content Analyst is responsible for writing, editing, and maintaining technical content across Gilson’s digital platforms.

This includes producing clear, accurate product listings, supporting educational content, and validating technical specifications in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.

This role is especially important right now, as you'll be directly supporting a company-wide initiative to improve and clean up product specifications and website content.

You'll work closely with the Digital Content & Marketing Strategist to help execute a large-scale content and data audit, ensuring our e-commerce platform is accurate, consistent, and optimized for both users and search engines.

This position is data- and detail-oriented and plays a critical role in ensuring that our product content is complete, correct, and aligned with our SEO and user experience goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and format technical content across digital channels, including the website, product pages, blog posts, emails, and social media.
  • Research and write product listings for construction materials testing equipment using inputs from manufacturers, internal teams, and technical documentation.
  • Perform routine and large-scale content audits to ensure product specifications, descriptions, and assets are accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Assist with a major product content and data cleanup initiative: reviewing, validating, and updating product specs across the website and CMS.
  • Communicate with vendors and manufacturers to verify data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update product records in the e-commerce content management system (CMS).
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and technical support teams to gather content inputs and validate technical information.
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and formatting across all content.
  • Apply SEO best practices to product pages and educational content under the guidance of the Digital Content & Marketing Strategist.
  • Support digital content workflows including asset organization, metadata management, and scheduled updates.
  • Assist with social media content entry and scheduling based on strategic direction.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in content creation, technical writing, digital marketing, or a similar role.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills for technical and/or B2B audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and research skills with a process-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable communicating with technical teams and vendors to clarify or verify information.
  • Experience with CMS tools and managing structured product content.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Basic familiarity with HTML and content formatting tools (a plus).
  • Working knowledge of SEO and keyword optimization principles (preferred but not required).

Why Work at Gilson?

  • Be part of a strong, stable, respected company with an 85+ year history.
  • Work in a supportive environment that values precision, curiosity, and professional growth.
  • Make a real impact by improving the clarity and accuracy of technical information that supports customers worldwide.
  • Contribute directly to high-priority projects and gain experience with large-scale content and data operations.
  • Opportunities for skill development in digital content, e-commerce, product data, and SEO.
