Description

Position Summary: The driver/cashier’s goal is to plan and provide meals to plant workers on a daily basis, ensuring food purchased is fresh and prepared according to Jane Foods Standards and Recipes. The driver/cashier must ensure all health and safety and environmental health standards are achieved and maintained. This position is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the food serving area including reach in cooler and/or equipment that he or she uses. The driver/cashier is also responsible for accurately processing food transactions, and providing customer service to guests of the location. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs. In addition, the individual may perform other serviceable duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Sets up serving line with all needed condiments, silverware, plates, hot food, cold food etc. needed for serving line area
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc
• Follows all work and food safety rules and procedures
• Maintains professional conduct at all times
• Notifies manager of any quality or quantity issues/comments related to supplies
• Checks quality and quantity of food being prepare
• Must take temperature and record on a daily basis
• Must bring attention to the manager of concerns from clients, temperatures not in correct range, equipment failure, etc.
• Restocks food lines during service times and prepare assigned food items as necessary
• Cleans product space and prep area according health department standards
• Adheres to Jane Foods safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Willing to attend such training sessions that are deemed necessary by line management.
• Operates a register and handles Jane Foods cards & credit card transactions (no Cash accepted)
• Greet and assists customers while anticipating their needs
• Must keep company vehicle cleaned, free of trash, and full of gas when ½ or less full
• Must abide by all safety standards when driving a company vehicle (no personal vehicles permitted)
• Ensures security of company assets
• Other tasks as assigned
• Stocks Micro Market Coolers Daily

Skills & Specifications:

• At least 1 year experience of working in a food service setting is required
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a MVR Report
• Proven knowledge of the basic food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
• Cashier experience is preferred but not required
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
• Able to squat, bend, stoop, push, kneel, and reach
• Ability to sit, stand, & walk for prolonged periods
• Able to read, write, and effectively communicate
• Must be willing to work weekends, and holidays
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening
• Must be able to transport food in a company vehicle
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Typical Work week is Monday-Friday (630am-1030am) with rotating weekends
