About the Role

The Head Spa Specialist MUST be a licensed cosmetologist and MUST be available at least four weekend days per month ( Saturday or Sunday - both days preferred).

The Head Spa - New Albany/Polaris/Powell is dedicated to delivering outstanding head spa treatments in a serene and upscale environment. This position emphasizes client relaxation and well-being, combining Japanese-inspired techniques with advanced scalp therapies to improve hair health and promote overall wellness. The role provides a pathway for professional growth and skill enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Consultations: Assess client needs, address inquiries, and recommend suitable treatments.
• Head Spa Treatments: Perform signature head spa services, including scalp massages and deep cleansing therapies.
• Blow-Dry Styling: Create polished looks such as sleek, wavy, or voluminous styles.
• Luxurious Ambiance: Maintain a relaxing, high-end setting that ensures clients feel pampered.
• Client Education: Share tips and recommend products for effective at-home hair and scalp care.
• Sanitation and Organization: Ensure tools and work areas are clean, sanitized, and well-organized.
• Continuous Learning: Stay informed on the latest trends, techniques, and products in the industry.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team to meet business objectives and deliver a client-focused experience.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology License: Must hold a current and valid cosmetology license.
• Customer Service Excellence: Strong interpersonal skills to provide personalized, warm service and ensure a positive client experience.
• Experience with hair and blow-dry techniques & can do a great blowout.
• Professional Appearance: Maintain a polished and professional demeanor at all times.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in luxury services is a plus.
• Familiarity with hair and scalp care products.
• Background in massage or aesthetics is advantageous.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
