Job Summary
Kansai is a Asian Bistro restaurant specializing in Korean and Japanese cuisine. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest service, with experience in the food industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

• Greet and seat guests promptly while providing menus and information about daily specials.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all guest preferences are noted.
• Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets our standards.
• Assist with bussing tables and sanitizing dining areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience through excellent guest relations and upselling techniques.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally, providing solutions as needed.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
• Excellent guest relations skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with guests and team members.
• A team player who is willing to help colleagues as needed to ensure overall success of the service team.
• Knowledge of Korean and Japanese cuisine is preferred but is not necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
