Join Our Team!
Lambs & Ivy School is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to support our early childhood education program. If you have a passion for working with young children and helping them learn, grow, and thrive, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and instruction.
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Assist with meals, restroom breaks, and daily routines.
- Observe and report student progress, behaviors, and concerns to the Lead Teacher.
- Maintain positive communication with parents and staff.
- Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety procedures.
- May be required to temporarily cover or assist in other classrooms when staffing needs arise or as directed by administration.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.
- Must pass all required background checks.
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
