Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Driller to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate and manage drilling equipment to facilitate excavation, utility installation, and foundation work on various construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate is energetic, safety-conscious, and possesses a strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation.

Duties

  • Operate drilling machinery such as rotary drills, augers, and other construction equipment to perform precise excavation and utility installation tasks
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
  • Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times during operations
  • Assist with construction utility work including locating underground utilities using utility locating tools before drilling begins
  • Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to plan drilling activities aligned with project timelines
  • Support excavation activities by operating loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy machinery as needed for site preparation
  • Maintain detailed records of drilling operations, equipment usage, safety checks, and site progress

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating heavy construction including HPM, IMT, Bayshore, and Watson Drill Rigs.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Valid commercial truck driving license with experience in commercial driving and transportation of equipment or materials
  • Knowledge of construction grading techniques and excavation processes
  • Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety regulations on job sites
  • Ability to perform utility locating accurately to prevent underground utility damage during drilling operations
  • Construction site experience with utility work, excavation, or general construction projects preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment

*This position requires extensive travel.

Pay: From $48.29 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
