GENERAL SUMMARY

To assist in the operation of the production department (corn or flour) lines under the direct supervision of the department Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Be capable of performing all product-handling activities in a packaging work-cell (i.e. fold card boxes, stacking, and counting, packing, sealing and put bags in boxes).
• Provide relief to boxers, sealers, and packers as required
• Follow GMP’s, and Safety standards at all time, including LOTO policy.
• Verify machinery is in good working condition.
• Verify that code dates, sealing, product weight, and product appearance is within specified parameters and conform to client’s expectations.
• Maintain his/her work area clean and assist in cleaning the department when needed.
• Assist in training of new personnel.
• Properly fill out all necessary documentation.
• Be prepared to cover other positions (for which the employee has the capacity and/or training) as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Lead.
• Be able to work well with others.
• Be able to work overtime.
• Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned by Managers and Supervisors and Lead.
• Follow and direct company regulations.
• Attend Safety and Quality training meetings.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Education:
