Full job description

OBJECTIVE

The HSE / Transportation Supervisor supports regional safety, environmental, and DOT compliance programs for field operations. This role partners with district leadership and field teams to improve safe work practices, complete inspections and audits, support training, manage compliance records, assist with incident response, and help maintain driver and vehicle compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, practical, field-focused, and comfortable working directly with employees, supervisors, customers, and management

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide HSE and transportation compliance support to assigned districts, facilities, and field operations.

  • Conduct facility and field inspections, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Support DOT compliance activities including driver qualification files, Hours of Service records, vehicle inspections, maintenance records, roadside inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and conduct HSE, DOT, onboarding, and site-specific training; track completion in approved systems.
  • Assist with injury, vehicle, near-miss, and HSE incident response, including documentation, interviews, photos, and investigation support.
  • Maintain safety, training, inspection, audit, and compliance records in company systems and customer portals as assigned.
  • Build strong working relationships with operations, field leadership, customers, and contractor HSE teams to support safe and compliant work

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in HSE, safety, transportation, DOT compliance, or a related field role preferred.
  • Oilfield service or similar field environment experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, HSE, FMCSR, DOT, driver qualification, Hours of Service, vehicle inspection, and electronic logging requirements preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required, with ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, computer, and follow-up skills with the ability to manage several priorities at once.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned region and respond to field or emergency situations as needed.

PHYSICAL ND WORK REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in field, shop, yard, and office environments, including various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more unassisted when required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete required drug and alcohol screening, background checks, and driving eligibility requirements.
