POSITION: FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
PCP, part of Pioneer Power Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: PPSI) offers the most advanced equipment and service solutions for onsite emergency solutions. At PCP, we specialize in cost effective service and repairs on all makes and models of commercial/industrial generators. We are seeking experienced field service generator technicians to join our team and help support our expanding business in Florida.
Job Duties
- Service, maintenance, and repairs on all makes and kW sizes of generators.
- Inspect, Repair, Service and Start-Up Load Bank Test Requirements on Equipment.
- Troubleshoot all generator components including engine, alternator, controllers, wiring harnesses, safety devices, battery systems and cooling systems.
- Start-up and load bank test residential and commercial emergency generators.
- Apply technical skills to identify the Problem and Cause of Failure through Logical Troubleshooting Steps, Determine Corrective Action.
- Repair and Troubleshoot Engines such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU and Volvo, among others.
- Complete field service reports(FSR’s) daily.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of 3 years’ of experience working with industrial power generations sets or similar transferrable skills
- Experience with diesel and natural/LP gas engines, electrical switch gear, and automatic transfer switches
- Must have your own set of general tools
- Use of computers/mobile devices for web based service & work order system
- Must be physically able to lift 75lbs with no restrictions

- OEM Training & Certification a Plus.
- EGSA Certification a plus.
