Superior Duct Fabrication, Inc. is seeking a CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) Specialist to join our team. The CAM Specialist plays an important role in supporting the flow of accurate information and fabrication paperwork to the shop. This position is responsible for preparing and organizing fabrication orders, reviewing information for accuracy, and supporting the CAM department and shop team to ensure efficient production.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position works closely with CAM team members and shop leads and reports to the Inside Sales Manager – Pomona

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of CAM/CAD experience required.
• Knowledge or experience in sheet metal fabrication and/or HVAC processes preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• High energy, dependable work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Windows and basic computer proficiency required.

Essential Job Duties

• Print and organize fabrication orders to create complete fabrication packets.
• Prepare fabrication packets for the various departments within the shop.
• Review and double-check calculations for input shear items to ensure accuracy.
• Verify fabrication information and documentation before releasing work to the shop.
• Work closely with CAM team members and shop leads to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate information.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical files.
• Perform basic calculations and data entry with a high level of accuracy.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Support the company’s foundational values of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, and Integrity.
• Develop additional skills and knowledge with the potential to advance within the CAM department.
• Assist with modifications to 2D and 3D patterns as skills and experience develop.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Computer & Software Skills

• Experience with CAM software for ductwork preferred.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills and electronic file management.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
• Ability to learn and effectively use company-specific software and computer systems.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
