Type of Position: Full time; Hours 7:30 AM -5:30 PM M-F and 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM Saturdays

General Summary

We are looking for experienced, or entry level Tellers to join our company. You will be responsible for the accurate handling of money through activities such as verifying customer’s identity and ensuring the account balance is enough to cover transactions, among other things. Our bank teller must be detail-oriented and precise. Reliability, promptness, and attendance are considered essential functions of this position. Tellers must have excellent people skills and customer service skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accepting cash, checks and other forms of payment from customers.
  • Identify counterfeit currency
  • Fill teller station supplies, count and roll coin
  • Balance drawer daily with periodic batching of cashed checks
  • Process credit cash advances, redeem US savings bonds, money orders, cashier’s checks
  • Buy/sell currency from the vault and ordering money
  • Promote bank products and services
  • Travel may be required between office locations as needed. Some travel may be required for additional training.
  • Job descriptions and work assignments are subject to change as business needs and conditions require. Supervisors may assign job duties and tasks not listed in description at any time. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mathematical and computer skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong communication, detail oriented, organizational skills and high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and make sound decisions
  • Familiar with retail banking regulations
  • Represent the bank in a professional manner
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential
