Full job description

Sterling Infrastructure is looking for a Technical Project Manager-Acquisition Integration to join their team in The Woodlands, TX

Be part of the strategy behind growth.

At Sterling Infrastructure, we’re growing through acquisition. We need someone who understands how to step into that environment, assess what’s in place, and help drive integration efforts across multiple businesses.

This is not a traditional IT Project Manager role.

This position is focused on acquisition integration—supporting IT workstreams tied to mergers and acquisitions from due diligence through Day 1 and post-close execution.

Why You’ll Love Working at Sterling Infrastructure

    • Work directly with IT leadership and executive stakeholders on high-impact initiatives
    • Play a key role in shaping how newly acquired companies integrate into a growing enterprise
    • Be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking IT team focused on continuous improvement
    • Join a company known for building complex, high-visibility projects across the U.S.
    • Backed by the strength of a national organization with an entrepreneurial, solutions-focused culture

What You’ll Actually Do

  • Lead IT workstreams for acquisition integration efforts across multiple deals
  • Partner with Corporate Development and business leaders on integration planning and execution
  • Support IT due diligence by assessing applications, infrastructure, data, and security environments
  • Help drive Day 1 readiness (access, systems, communications, cutover coordination)
  • Coordinate post-close integration across systems, data, and infrastructure
  • Track timelines, risks, and dependencies—keeping leadership informed and aligned

What You Must Have

  • Direct experience supporting or leading IT integration efforts tied to acquisitions (M&A)
  • Experience across the full lifecycle (due diligence ? Day 1 ? post-close integration)
  • Ability to clearly explain your role in past acquisition integrations (what you owned and delivered)
  • Experience working across multiple IT environments (ERP systems, Microsoft 365, infrastructure, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills—you’ll be working directly with leadership and cross-functional teams

Tools & Experience

    • MS Project, Visio, Excel, SharePoint
    • Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), critical path (CPM) scheduling
    • Epic/Story development in Agile environments
    • Enterprise-level project documentation and reporting
    • Experience reporting project progress to senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders
