Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc., established in 1994, is headquartered in Bridgeville, PA, with plants in North Jackson, OH, Dunkirk, NY, and Titusville, PA. Universal Stainless produces semi-finished and finished specialty steel long products and plate, including stainless steel, tool steel, bearing steel, gear steel, and aircraft quality low alloy steels for use in a variety of industries. The Inside Sales Representative supports customer relationships and sales activities within the specialty steel market. This position works closely with customers, outside sales personnel, and internal departments to provide accurate quotations, process orders, communicate order status, and support customer needs. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, organized, and service-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. This position does not require cold calling.

Basic Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain meaningful customer relationships that promote trust, satisfaction, and loyalty.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide professional, timely customer service throughout the order process.
• Prepare customer quotations, including pricing and delivery analysis.
• Enter and process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review customer purchase orders and contracts to confirm order details and requirements.
• Prepare customer invoices and provide customer status reports as needed.
• Coordinate with outside sales personnel to support customer accounts and sales activities.
• Communicate with production, mill personnel, and other internal departments regarding order status, scheduling, and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of company products, processing capabilities, and specifications.
• Manage multiple customer requests, deadlines, and administrative responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Follow established company procedures and maintain accurate customer and order information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Previous inside sales, customer service, order entry, or sales support experience preferred.
• Experience preparing quotations, reviewing purchase orders, or coordinating customer orders preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, metals, industrial products, or a business-to-business environment is a plus.

Education/Training:

• Business school education or an associate degree preferred.
• Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
• Training will be provided on company products, processes, systems, and customer requirements.

Schedule & Work Arrangement:

• Full-time salaried position.
• Initial schedule is onsite at the Bridgeville, PA location, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• The position should be prepared to work onsite as required to support customers, collaborate with internal departments, and meet business needs.

Work Environment:

• Primarily office-based work in a professional, team-oriented environment.
• Frequent communication and coordination with customers, outside sales personnel, and internal manufacturing and administrative departments.
• The role requires the ability to manage changing priorities and respond to time-sensitive customer and order needs.

Pay & Benefits:

• Annual salary range: $55,000–$65,000, based on qualifications and experience.
