Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Clinical Supervisor ( LISW, LISW-S or LPCC , LPCC-S to lead and oversee clinical services within our behavioral health team. This vital role involves supervising clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will play a key role in fostering a collaborative environment that promotes evidence-based practices, supports professional development, and enhances client outcomes. Your leadership will directly impact the well-being of individuals across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults with various mental health and developmental conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, and case managers, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
  • Oversee patient assessments, intake procedures, and treatment planning to ensure comprehensive and individualized care.
  • Provide direct clinical services such as individual therapy, group therapy, behavioral therapy, and family counseling when needed.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of medical records, treatment notes, and progress reports in electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders.
  • Manage crisis intervention efforts and crisis management protocols to support clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral crises.
  • Facilitate training sessions on topics like motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and other evidence-based modalities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure holistic patient care.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives by monitoring clinical outcomes, data collection for research purposes, and continuous improvement strategies.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in behavioral health or mental health counseling with a strong foundation in psychotherapy techniques.
  • Proven supervisory experience managing clinical teams within healthcare or community settings.
  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and medical records management.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Expertise in working with diverse populations including children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions.
  • Skilled in crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies.
  • Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations using standardized assessment tools; experience with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with special education laws and working with families to support child & family counseling initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, families, and external agencies involved in patient care.
